Instructions

Step 1

First, make sure Japanese is installed in the font list. After that, in the control panel, find the "Languages" tab and add the Japanese layout.

Step 2

Next, work with special keyboard icons and fonts. If the necessary icons have appeared, then by clicking on the very first of them - "A", call up a special menu that allows you to select the desired alphabet. It is with this font that the typed information will be displayed on the screen. It will be either Hiragana or Katakana.

Step 3

However, special icons may not appear. In this case, everything will be displayed in Romaji. What to do in this case? Start printing, then right-click Next and the information will begin displaying in Hiragana. True, this method does not always work right away, therefore, if suddenly the font change did not happen the first time, erase everything that you typed before and start over. You are assured of success.

Step 4

This is followed by the technical part. Using the usual Romaji transliteration and Latin letters, type in the desired Japanese words. The underlining of Japanese letters with a dotted line during printing means that it will be necessary to choose whether to translate this word into hieroglyphs or leave it without any changes, that is, just like an alphabet. If no changes are required, just press the "Enter" button, if necessary - "Space". The word will be translated automatically.

Step 5

The frequency of use of one or another hieroglyph is determined by the computer itself. If suddenly the option offered by the computer does not fit, press the "Space" button again, which will bring up a menu with a list of all possible options, from which you will need to select the most suitable one and press the "Enter" button.

Step 6

If suddenly the search word is not in the proposed word list, you need to check the print again. Namely - the length of the vowels and other subtleties of the language. The program is extremely sensitive to all these minor changes. Mindfulness and patience are what you will need in the first place for work.
