The installation and launch of Japanese computer games is subject to the general rules for installing applications on computers running Windows. The main difference between these games is the regional settings. It is possible to adapt them to our reality both by standard means of the system itself, and by attracting additional software.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine the basic installation method for the downloaded Japanese game: - for an archive - unpack it and run an executable file with the.exe extension; - for an installation package - run a file named setup.exe or install.exe; - for disk images, use the Daemon Tools application to drive emulation.
Step 2
Insert the Windows OS installation disc into the drive and call the main menu by clicking the "Start" button to change the regional settings of the game using standard methods of the system itself. Go to Control Panel and expand the Regional and Language Options link. Go to the "Language" tab of the dialog box that opens and apply the checkbox to the "Install support for languages with hieroglyphics" field. Save your changes by clicking the "Apply" button.
Step 3
Return to the same dialog box and go to the Advanced tab. Apply the check box next to "Non-Unicode Language (Japanese)" and reboot the system to apply the changes.
Step 4
Download to your computer a specialized application AppLocale, designed to facilitate and automate the launch of such programs, from the official website of the Microsoft Corporation. Create a copy of the apploc.msi installation file and open the main menu by clicking the "Start" button (for Windows 7). Expand the Computer link and drag a copy of the file to the system drive icon.
Step 5
Confirm writing the file to the root of the system disk in the system prompt window and return to the main menu. Type cmd in the text field of the search bar and open the context menu of the found command line utility by right-clicking. Specify the "Run as administrator" item and enter the value: cd apploc.msi in the text box of the Windows command interpreter. Confirm the launch of the application by pressing the Enter key, and then click Next in all windows of the installation wizard.
