The Trojan horse, which destroyed an entire state, became a household name. Today, a Trojan is called a virus that can amazingly disguise itself as work programs, literally eating them from the inside.
With careful attention, you will certainly notice the obvious signs of an infection on your computer. If it suddenly began to work slower than usual, or you hear that the processor has become more noisy, pop-up windows from your Internet browser began to appear - all these are signs that, most likely, a Trojan virus has wound up on your computer.
How to fight
If you suspect a Trojan horse, run antivirus software (abbreviated as software) on your computer. Even if your computer is working fine, it can still be infected, and therefore a fresh antivirus should always "scan" the PC.
According to statistics from security software companies, viruses are often transmitted via email attachments, installed software, chat, or through copies of files taken from a friend's infected computer. This happens even if you did not open any attachments when you checked your email and did not launch unknown files from dubious sites, you too could, without knowing it, get a malicious program.
Important: Make sure your antivirus software has the latest virus database update before doing a full scan of your system.
Be aware that absolutely all programs aimed at searching for infected objects have flaws. If, after a full system scan, you think your computer is still infected, use a different antivirus software. Each antivirus works according to its own algorithms, and each has its own pest database. There are many free versions of such software on the Internet, for example, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, AVG, BitDefender and PC Tools, as well as commercial products: Symantec Norton AntiVirus / Norton 360, McAfee VirusScan and Kaspersky Anti-Virus, which have a trial period. subscriptions. Also make sure that the program will check all root folders, where viruses usually hide.
Precautionary measures
If you managed to remove the virus, do not forget to remove the added antivirus programs immediately. If there are several of them running on your computer, they will seriously slow down your operating system. Choose one protection option for your computer, and just get rid of the excess.
If all of the above did not help and you were unable to get rid of the Trojan viruses, you will have to reinstall Windows. Do not forget to save any important files and format the disk.
