Cleaning the monitor matrix is not as easy as it seems at first glance. In order for the monitor to serve you as long as possible, it is worth considering some of its features when choosing a means of caring for its matrix.

Step 1
Purchase special cleaning wipes for your monitor screen. When choosing, take into account the matrix in your model, since the material of manufacture depends on it. You can find out exactly what type of matrix is installed in your monitor by searching the Internet for the specifications of your device. The liquid with which special wipes are impregnated can affect the material of the matrix surface in different ways.
Step 2
If you have a glossy monitor, consider its specifics when choosing cleaning wipes. Do not choose among them those that are saturated with a large amount of liquid, since on this type of matrix the ugly marks of stains are most visible. Choose a lint-free cloth that won't leave marks on the glossy monitor.
Step 3
Disconnect the monitor from the power source. Carefully remove the top layer of dust from it using the selected wipes. Use another cloth to clean it from streaks and stains, if any. At the same time, do not put pressure on the matrix of the monitor, since many of them break easily enough due to the thin surface material.
Step 4
If you have a conventional cathode ray tube monitor, clean the screen with any lint-free cloth soaked in any surface cleaner. Its protective glass is quite durable, and it is not at all necessary to take into account any peculiarities when cleaning it.
Step 5
Turn the monitor upside down if you are going to wipe it with a damp cloth. This will prevent liquid from entering the device and leaving unsightly streaks. Do not use glass cleaners or powders to clean the matrix, this will cause irreparable damage to its surface. If you do not have special products, use a regular soft, slightly damp cloth.
