Having learned how to independently install programs from the disk to your computer, you will stop spending money on calling the system administrator and will be able to cope with any program yourself. In addition, software developers make their products so that even a beginner can install them.
Necessary
- - computer;
- - a program written to disk.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, insert the disc with the program into the computer drive with the mirrored side down and the matte side up. Perhaps, in the window that opens, you will be prompted to enter the administrator password or confirm this password. If you know the password, enter it and confirm.
Step 2
If you want to manually install the program on your computer, open and run the Install.exe or Setup.exe file of the installation wizard. In the first two windows you will see information about the program itself and about the license agreement. After reading the material, click on the "Next" button. Often, in order to proceed with the installation, you will need to check the box "I agree with the terms of the agreement." Depending on the type of program, you will see a special form in which you fill in the required fields.
Step 3
Next, find the C drive and make sure there is free space for the downloaded program. Install the default program C: Program Files. If drive C is busy, then click on the "Browse" button and select another drive.
Step 4
If you want to create a quick launch shortcut or a shortcut to the desktop, then select this line in the new window that opens and click on the "Next" button. A window will open in front of you, where the installation of the program will be visible, with a progress bar in percent. Once it is installed, click on the "Finish" button. After that, your program will be fully installed
Step 5
Check your desktop for a shortcut to the program you just installed. If you do not find it there, then go to the "Start" menu. In this menu, the installed program will necessarily be displayed.
