After filling in the data of rows and columns of spreadsheets in the Microsoft Office Excel editor, the user has access to various operations with them. This can be not only with the manipulation of the data of individual cells, but also of entire rows or columns. In particular, they can be duplicated, deleted, moved or swapped - such operations are quite simple to implement in Excel.

Instructions
Step 1
Use a combination of cut and paste to swap two columns of a table. To do this, first select one of them by clicking on the heading - a cell with a Latin letter above the topmost cell of the column. Then either press Ctrl + X or right-click the selection and choose Cut from the context menu.
Step 2
Select another column involved in the exchange operation by clicking on the header. Open the context menu by right-clicking the selected area and select the "Paste Cut Cells" command. This command is duplicated in the "Insert" drop-down list placed in the "Cells" group of the "Home" tab in the table editor's menu - you can also use this method of insertion.
Step 3
If you need to swap not two columns, but, for example, six, then you can do the previous two steps the required number of times, or you can cut and move a group of columns at once. To make this selection, click all the column group headers while holding down the Ctrl key. If there are many such columns, then you do not need to click each of them - select the first one, press the Shift key and click the title of the last one. Or, after selecting the first column, press the right arrow while holding down the Shift key until the entire range of columns is selected. The rest of the operations - cut and paste - when manipulating a group of columns do not differ from those described in the previous two steps.
