Step 1
Determine the power of your computer. It should be able to work with new systems Windows 7 and Vista. If there is not enough operating memory, then you should not install animated wallpapers. Animation, of course, will make the desktop beautiful, but it will create an unnecessary load on the processor and, accordingly, will not allow you to work efficiently on the computer.
Step 2
Now download the Windows DreamScenes Enabler utility. Install it on your computer as follows: right-click in the context menu, click "Run as administrator". After starting, click the "Enable" button, and then "Finish". Reboot your computer.
Step 3
Then find the folder in the directory: C: WindowsWebWindows DreamScene. This will contain the DreamScene file. Right click on it. In it, click on the item "Set as Desktop Background". The video wallpaper should appear in the desktop design.
Step 4
Next, create a shortcut. To do this, right-click on the DreamScene file, in the context menu and select "Send" - "Desktop (create shortcut)".
Step 5
If you do not find such an item in the menu, enter the desktop menu and select "New" - "Text Document". Then click the "Properties" item in the file. There will be a name for the new file "New Text Document. TXT". Name it "Desktop (create shortcut). DeskLink" without using quotes. The file will change to look like a monitor.
Step 6
Place the created file in the SendTo folder located at: C: Users username AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsSendTo. To make it visible, go to the "Start" - "Control Panel" - "Folder Options". And uncheck the box next to "Hide protected system files". And then click "Save Changes". After moving the required file, you can hide the system files again by checking the box in the same place. Now try to create a shortcut by going to step 4.
Step 7
Further replenish the assortment of animated wallpapers. You can download from the Internet archives with a set of screensavers. But they take up several Gigabytes. In addition, you are deprived of the right to choose. It is better to choose those video wallpapers that you really like and download them separately.
Step 8
The next step is to unpack each archive and place the files in the C: WindowsWebWindows DreamScene folder. It will store all the video wallpaper of the desktop.
Step 9
To install animated wallpapers, you can use the Windows 7 DreamScene Activator program. Run it as administrator. In the empty rectangle of the window that appears, click and then click ON. Then restart your computer. Now install animated wallpapers from any folder that contains files with mpeg or wmv extensions.
Step 10
Check if there is sound in the animated wallpaper. In the system tray, check if the volume is turned on. If this is not feasible, then go to the "Start" - "Settings" - "Taskbar and Start Menu" and uncheck the option "Hide unused icons". Then adjust the sound volume.
