Instructions
Step 1
Call the main menu of the Microsoft Windows operating system by clicking the "Start" button to perform the operation of restricting access to the selected local disk and go to the "My Computer" item.
Step 2
Call the context menu of the local dick to be denied access by right-clicking and selecting the "Properties" item.
Step 3
Go to the "Security" tab of the dialog box that opens and use the "Advanced" button.
Step 4
Click the Add button and click the Advanced button in the next dialog box.

Click the "Search" button and define the account to restrict access to the selected local disk.
Step 6
Confirm your selection with OK and clear the check box in the new Permission Entry for Local Disk Drive_Name dialog box.

Confirm the execution of the command by clicking OK and repeat the same action again to apply the selected changes.

Return to the main menu "Start" to implement the procedure for denying access to the selected local disk using an alternative method and go to the item "Run".

Enter the value gpedit.msc in the "Open" field and confirm the execution of the command to launch the "Group Policy Editor" tool by clicking OK.

Expand the Local Computer node in the left pane of the editor window and go to User Configuration.

Select "Administrative Templates" and go to "File Explorer".

Open the policy "Deny access to disks through" My Computer "in the right pane of the editor window by double-clicking and go to the" Parameter "tab of the properties dialog box that opens.

Select the "Enabled" option and confirm your choice by pressing the OK button and open the "Hide selected disks from the" My Computer "window by double-clicking the mouse.

Go to the Setting tab of the policy properties dialog box that opens and apply the check box to the Enabled field.
