Microsoft Corporation in the development of Windows 8 made an unusual decision, removing the familiar "Start" button from the system. Someone liked it, but someone is still experiencing difficulties and cannot return the classic icon to the desktop. However, this can be done using special utilities.
Necessary
- - a computer with Windows 8;
- - utility ViStart;
- - utility Power8;
- - Start Orb Changer program.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch the Run utility by pressing WIN + R. Confirm it by clicking on the User Account Control message. Open the Registry Editor by typing regedit in the Open field, then press the Enter key.
Step 2
Go to the registry entry HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / Explorer and double click on the Explorer item. Find the RPEnabled parameter in the right pane of the editor, right-click on it and select Modify. In the window that opens, change the Value Data field from "1" to "0", click OK to save. Reboot your PC and Start will be classic.
Step 3
If you want to change the "Start", you can use the ViStart utility. Download it and install it on your computer. Refuse to install other software by clicking Decline. After that "Start" will change.
Step 4
To change the language of the icon to Russian, open the Language Changer and select the menu setting in Russian. After restarting the program, all menu items should be displayed in the selected language.
Step 5
Start can also be changed using the Power8 utility. Download it from the Internet, run the program and agree with the location for its installation. Install the application, click Finish and launch it.
Step 6
Another way to change Start is to download the icon archive. To do this, install the Start Orb Changer program on your computer and launch it. Then click Change in the window that appears. Select a picture and click "Open". Wait a couple of seconds, the desktop will disappear for a few moments, then reappear with the already changed "Start".
Step 7
If, after selecting the icon, the desktop disappears and does not reopen, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc. The Task Manager will open, in which click "File-Run New Task". Next enter Explorer and click OK. The desktop will appear in a few seconds.
Step 8
To change the height of the Start button, open the menu and select Properties. Click on the settings button, set the height parameters you need. Click OK and exit the settings. Open Start and make sure you are happy with the changes.
