There are two types of video cards in laptops: integrated and discrete. The second type works at the expense of the central processor. Self-replacement of this video adapter is highly undesirable.

Instructions
Step 1
If you need to replace a discrete video card, then first select a replacement for it. You can use a similar model or choose any other that is compatible with your laptop. Please note that in addition to determining the type of motherboard slot to which the video card is attached, you need to pay attention to its size.
Step 2
Turn off the laptop and turn it over. Unscrew all necessary screws to remove the bottom cover. Sometimes it is necessary to unscrew even those screws that, as it might seem at first glance, are intended for securing additional covers. Remove the previously easily detachable parts: hard drive and RAM.
Step 3
Now gently lift the bottom of the laptop. Find the cables and cables leading to it from the motherboard or other devices. Disconnect them carefully using tweezers. Remember the ports to which these cables were connected. Otherwise, some functions may not work after assembling the notebook.
Step 4
Now locate the discrete graphics card and disconnect it from the motherboard. This usually requires opening the latch. Install a new video adapter in this slot. Make sure that it does not interfere with the correct closing of the laptop.
Step 5
Now replace the bottom cover of the laptop. Connect the previously disconnected cables using tweezers. Re-tighten all previously removed screws. Turn on your laptop and wait for the operating system to load. If you installed a video card identical to the previous one, then wait for the definition of a new device.
Step 6
If you have connected a different model of video adapter, be sure to install new software and drivers. This is necessary for the stable operation of the new video card. Check the temperature sensors to make sure that the temperature of the new video adapter is within the acceptable range.
