Almost all owners of inkjet printers sometimes have such a problem when, after a long idle period, the cartridges of the device dry out partially or completely. This leads to their inoperability and forces them to buy new, expensive cartridges. However, you should not immediately run to the store for purchases, you can try to restore the cartridge yourself and return it to work.

Necessary

  • - window cleaner Mister Muscle;
  • - paper towel;
  • - shallow container;
  • - napkin;
  • - a jar with a lid;
  • - distilled water;
  • - ink.

Instructions

Step 1

Try repairing a dried cartridge with Mr. Muscle Window Cleaner. Soak a paper towel with this liquid and place the cartridge on it with the print head down. Try to change the towel every few hours and check for traces of paint. Be prepared for the fact that the procedure can be delayed for a long period.

Step 2

Pour a small amount of liquid into a shallow container and place the cartridge into it with the nozzles down. The fluid needs to be changed periodically. In this way, you can reanimate cartridges that have been idle for several months.

Step 3

A dried cartridge can be restored by steaming. To do this, hold it over the spout of a boiling kettle for 5 seconds, you can't do it anymore, otherwise it will come unstuck. This procedure must be carried out 10 times. After each such steaming, blot the cartridge with a tissue and look at the print. If all this does not help, you will have to replace the cartridge with a new one.

Step 4

Another way is to put the cartridge in a jar of Mr. Muscle. Pour 1 cm of liquid into it, lower the cartridge inside, close the lid well and leave it overnight. If the cartridge has not been used for several months, fill it with distilled water and detergent in a ratio of 50:50, and on top, the amount of ink required for refilling. As soon as the liquid changes its color a little, proceed to check the result.

Step 5

Blot the cartridge with a tissue for 3 seconds. There should be a good solid print on it. If it is poorly visible or has gaps, it is necessary to continue soaking, having previously changed the liquid in the jar. The procedure should be carried out no more than a week.
