Meanwhile, this information can be important. For example, some software license agreements clearly state how many cores are covered by the license. And it’s just interesting to know how many cores a computer processor has, and whether the time has come to replace it by “increasing” the number of cores.

Instructions
Step 1
From the site https://www.aida64.com/downloads (this is the official site of the developer) download the AIDA64 Extreme Edition program as an installation file. At the same time, choose a free temporary version of the utility, which is quite enough for a one-time computer test. Run the installation file by double-clicking on it with the left mouse button, and select the directory where the utility will be located, and also confirm your agreement with the terms of the license agreement
Step 2
The program will automatically start after the installation is complete. If you need to run it again, select it from the list of programs in the Start menu and press Enter.
Step 3
In the utility window on the right, you will see a list of menu items. Place the mouse cursor opposite the line "Motherboard" and double-click the left mouse button. In the drop-down list or on the left side of the window, select the "CPU" (central processing unit) item.
Step 4
The right side of the window displays a list of the characteristics of your computer's processor. The second paragraph from the top is called Multi CPU. It contains separate lines for the processor cores and their full names. By the number of lines, you can determine how many cores a processor has.
