Step 1

Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the system and go to the "Control Panel" item to perform the operation of creating a hidden share.

Step 2

Open the "Administration" link by double-clicking the mouse and repeat this action for the "Computer Management" item.

Step 3

Select the item "Shared folders" and call the context menu of the "Resources" section by right-clicking.

Step 4

Select "New File Share" from the menu that opens and specify the path to the selected folder in the "Shared Folder" field. An alternative action to achieve the same result can be to click the Browse button and select the desired folder from the list that opens.

Step 5

Enter your desired hidden share name and add a dollar sign ($) at the end.

Click "Next" and apply the checkbox next to "Administrators have full control, others have no access" to restrict access to the selected folder.
