Most of the most famous films are translated and provided with only Russian soundtrack. However, if you want to watch a movie with original audio to learn the language or improve it, you can connect additional tracks to the video file using the appropriate software.

Instructions

Step 1

First you need to find a suitable audio track. There are many foreign resources that have a corresponding database of various translations in the form of mp3, aac or ac3 audio files.

Step 2

You don't have to attach this track to the video file, but simply launch the movie and sound separately through two players. In the video window, it is enough to turn on the silent mode, but it is unlikely that you will be able to achieve completely synchronous sound.

Step 3

Some players have the corresponding functionality and allow you to add a track directly to the movie, synchronizing the duration of the audio and video. To do this, you can use the VLC Media player, which must be downloaded from the developer's official website.

Step 4

Install the program and use it to open the movie you want to translate. Right-click on the video file and select "File" - "Open with …" - "VLC", or just click on the created shortcut of the player on the desktop. Go to "Audio" - "Audio Track". Translations attached to the video file are displayed in this menu.

Step 5

Select "Media" - "Open file with parameters" or press the key combination Ctrl, Shift and O. In the window that opens, click on the "Add" button, specify the path to the movie file and click "Open".

Step 6

Highlight Show Advanced Options and then Play Media File Parallel. Click "Browse" and in the pop-up window, click the "Add" button again. If you need to add a subtitle file, check the box next to "Use subtitle file". Then click on the "Browse" button and specify the path to the downloaded file with subtitles.srt. Specify the path to the audio track in the same way and press the Play button.

Step 7

The audio track is attached. Go to the tab "Audio" - "Audio tracks", where select the second item that appears "Track 2".
