Instructions
Step 1
Find and download the free StyleBuilder software on the Internet. This program will allow you to edit and change the Start icon. Install it on your computer and restart it.
Step 2
Launch StyleBuilder from the Start - All Programs - TGTSoft menu. Open the "Tools" menu and select "Options" from the drop-down list. Now you need to go to the "graphic editors" tab and by pressing the "New" button enter the name of any graphic editor installed on your computer. Click the button next to the input field and select the path to the Program Files / Graphic_Editor_Name. Confirm your selection by clicking OK.
Step 3
The main Windows themes are listed in the left half of the program window. Click on one of the themes, then select the Start button from the preview window. In the context menu, select the path to save the changes. Confirm by clicking OK.
Step 4
The image of the current view of the button will open in the graphical editor. It remains to show imagination and creativity, and create your own unique look of the "Start" button. When finished, select the "File - Save" menu. Close the graphics editor.
Step 5
Return to the StyleBuilder window. Click the Reset button in the main window and in the preview window. Click the Apply button. You will be prompted to name the new Start button. Save under any name. Click OK.
Step 6
The program will process the design changes for some time. After finishing the processing, click the "Test" button located on the toolbar. After reviewing the result of the work, click "Close"
Step 7
If you are not satisfied with the test result, you can return to the original form of the button. Select the "Properties" item from the context menu of the "Desktop" and on the "Appearance" tab in the selection field, set the button styles available in the operating system.
