Step 1
Open the file, one of the layers of which you want to fill with color, in Photoshop. To do this, you can use the Open command from the File menu or the Ctrl + O hotkeys. In the end, you can simply drag the desired file into the graphical editor window using the mouse.

Photoshop lets you fill with color and a background layer, but if you want a document with a separate color layer, create a new layer.
