To cut out the dialogue, song or some sounds you like from the movie, saving the fragment in mp3 format, you can use a regular microphone by turning on the sound recording during playback. However, the quality of the final audio file will be poor, so it's worth going the other way.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, you need to literally "separate" the audio track from the image. This cannot be done without special software. Use the 4Media MP3 Converter application or any similar program that can "extract" the audio track from the video. The 4Media MP3 Converter utility can be downloaded from the developer's official website at www.mp4converter.net in the Download section.

Step 2

After downloading and installing, run the program and add a file with a movie to it in any convenient way: drag the file into the application window or select it using the Add File (s) command from the main menu. By default, the sound from the movie will be saved in mp3 format, but you can choose one of several popular formats from the Profile menu.

Step 3

In the right part of the program window, select the quality of the sound file from the menu and click the Convert button to start converting. Once the process is complete, click the Open button to open the destination file folder. Now you need to cut the desired fragment from it.

Step 4

Install MP3 Direct cut software (or any similar) on your computer. It can be downloaded from the official website at www.mpesch3.de1.cc. Run the application and drag the sound file into the editor window.

Step 5

Moving the slider, find the beginning of the desired fragment of the movie and press the "Start" button (key B). Set the slider to the end of the fragment and press the "End" button (N key). This will highlight the passage you want. Save it by choosing the "Save Selection" command from the "File" menu.
