Computer owners sometimes in the process of work are faced with the need to completely clean the drives, including the one on which the current version of Windows is located. Equipped with anti-tampering, Windows will not allow the PC operator to do this so easily. Formatting the system drive, although a little more difficult, is still doable.
Instructions
Step 1
To complete this procedure, you will need to start your computer from another boot source, which can be a CD or DVD, an external drive, or, for example, a USB flash drive with an operating system installed on it.
Step 2
After such a download, the currently running operating system will not be aware of the one on the hard drive to be cleaned, and will allow it to be removed.
Step 3
Having booted the same Windows from an external drive, you just need to clean up the old boot disk using standard tools by selecting the "format" item through the context menu.
Step 4
You can also use the windows installation CD or DVD and reformat the partition using the installer tools.
