Sometimes the user is faced with the need to format the system disk on which the current operating system is installed. Of course, the system does not allow this. However, there are ways to do this.
Instructions
Step 1
To perform this operation, you will need to boot your computer from another boot source, it can be an optical disk, an external hard drive, or, for example, a USB flash drive with an operating system installed on it.
Step 2
When booting from a different operating system, format the system hard drive as if it were a normal hard drive, without the operating system installed. For example, from under MS-DOS, you just need to enter the "format" command. Please note that the hard drive letter will most likely be different from the one assigned earlier.
Step 3
You can also use the Windows installation disc and format the hard drive using the installer.
