In addition, this protects discs from scratches and damage, since it is enough to write the disc image to the hard drive only once, and there will no longer be a need to insert them into the PC drive. Another advantage is that you can open multiple disk images at the same time.

Instructions
Step 1
To open disk images, the appropriate program must be installed on the computer. Download the Alcohol 120% program from the Internet and install it on your PC. Then restart your PC and run the program. After the first launch, it will create virtual drives for the computer. This may take a little time.
Step 2
Then you can run the image files. In the main menu of the program, on the left of the toolbar, select the command "Search for images". In the window that appears, select the "Search" line. The program will detect all the image files that are on the hard drive of the computer. Hold down the left mouse button and select all the images, then click "Add Selected to Alcohol".
Step 3
Now all images will be available in the main menu of the program on the right in the window. Select the image of the file you want to open and right-click on it. In the context menu that appears, click on "Mount to device". Then go to My Computer and you will see that the image file is mounted on a virtual drive and can be opened like a regular disk. Click on the virtual drive with the right mouse button and select the required command, namely: "Open disc" or "Enable autorun disc".
Step 4
If you need to open several image files at once, go to the main menu of the program. In the "Settings" section, select "Virtual disk", and in the next window - the number of virtual optical reasons. The maximum number of virtual drives is 6. Wait for the program to finish creating virtual drives.
Step 5
In the main menu of the program, you can choose to mount simultaneously as many images as there are virtual drives created. Just select the file to mount and the virtual drive you want to mount it to. Now by going to "My Computer", you can open the image files you have mounted.
