Often, especially in the summer months, when the heat is unbearable, our computers start to overheat, resulting in freezes, breakdowns, and generally in refusal to work. To avoid this, additional cooling can be supplied.
Necessary
Two 120 mm fans, screwdriver, self-tapping screws
Instructions
Step 1
As a rule, most computer system units have two places for attaching additional coolers: front and back. Better to put both at once. The front one for blowing in, and the rear one for blowing out. Thus, they form a constant flow of fresh air, and it will not stagnate and heat inside the computer.
Step 2
First you need to remove the side cover of the system unit. Usually it is screwed on with two screws on the rear panel, but depending on the design of the case, it can be closed with latches.
Step 3
Inside the case, on the front panel, there is a plastic mount for a 120 mm fan, which can be removed by pressing on the clips. You need to install the cooler in the mount in such a way that, when rotating, the air is sucked into the computer. Then put the mount back in place.
Step 4
The fan will most likely have to be screwed to the rear panel with self-tapping screws from the back of the case through special mounting holes. Install the cooler so that when the blades rotate, air is blown out.
Step 5
Now it remains to connect the fans. This can be done directly on the motherboard (it should have a couple of additional connectors just for such a case) or through a special adapter - directly to the power supply. You can now close the lid. It is worth considering that the volume of the computer will increase slightly after installing the cooling, but as soon as the heat subsides, the fans can be turned off again.
