Step 1
If you prefer to use a wireless data transmission channel to connect two computers, purchase two Wi-Fi adapters. In this case, you can use equipment that does not support the function of creating a full-fledged access point.

Connect Wi-Fi adapters to USB ports of computers or to PCI slots located on PC motherboards. Update the drivers for these devices. Use the discs supplied with Wi-Fi adapters, or download drivers from the websites of the manufacturers of this equipment.

Turn on the first computer and create a wireless LAN. Open Network and Sharing Center (Windows Seven). Now select the "Manage Wireless Networks" menu.

After opening the list of existing Wi-Fi networks, click the "Add" button. Select "Create a computer-to-computer network" and click the "Next" button.

Set the parameters for your local wireless network. Check the box next to Save Settings. Click the Next and Finish buttons.

Now open the list of existing connections and go to the properties of the wireless connection. Open TCP / IPv4 settings. Activate the use of a permanent IP address. Enter its value.

Turn on the second computer. Open the TCP / IPv4 settings menu. Enter a static IP address. It should differ from the address of the first Wi-Fi adapter by only the fourth segment. Go to the list of available wireless networks. Connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot created on the first PC.
Step 8
Now create a public folder on one of your computers. To do this, right-click on the catalog and select "Access". Select a user group that will be allowed to connect to this folder.
Step 9
On the other computer, press the Win and R keys. Fill in the command / IP address of the second computer that appears. Press Enter and wait for the list of shared resources to open. Select the required directory and copy the required data into it.
