The next standard tool for checking for errors (and fixing them) is to defragment disks. In order to carry it out, you need to go to: Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Defragmenter. This check fixes errors and prevents them in the future. It is useful, first of all, for the hard disk, and it is advisable to carry it out regularly (once every six months).

For a more thorough check of the operating system, you need to download a special utility IObit Security 360. After installation, select the check for errors item. After analyzing the operating system, the program should lay out a list of errors and even potential malfunctions that cause them (for example, not updated software, system conflict, etc.).

Sometimes, for serious system diagnostics, you should go to the event log, which records, among other things, errors. It is located at: Start - Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Event Viewer. In the magazine itself, you should look at the items: application, system. And look for a red circle with a white cross, since this is the error record. You need to double-click on the entry and read the full information.
