The reason for this could be errors in the file system of the disk, physical damage to the surface, the appearance of poorly readable and bad blocks of sectors. To eliminate such manifestations, it is necessary to check the disk for errors.

Step 1
Open "My Computer" and right click on the icon of the hard drive you want to check.
Step 2
Then select the "Properties" command from the appeared context menu. In the "Properties" window, select the "Service" tab and left-click "Run Check".
Step 3
In the "Check Disk …" window, check the boxes: "Automatically fix system errors" and "Check and repair bad sectors". Then click on the "Start" button.
