A fairly large number of computer users are careless about the safety of their data. The password is one of the main elements of protecting this data. Having several accounts on all kinds of sites, on each of them they use the same passwords, usually very simple ones. However, creating a good password quickly is not such a difficult task.
Contrary to popular belief, to find out the password there is no need to go through the options right in the form of entering it. Hackers, as a rule, steal encrypted passwords directly from the server and only then try to crack it using special programs. With this approach, a simple password of no more than 8 characters will surely be cracked in a fairly short time. Thus, the first thing to remember before creating a good password is that it must be long and contain at least 12 characters. The more characters the password contains, the more reliable it will be.
When composing your password, never use words, dates, common abbreviations, or keyboard shortcuts such as “qwerty”. Often as a password, users choose the names of pets, their dates of birth, simple sequences of numbers, for example, "12345" or just the word "password". The frequency of using such passwords by users is so high that hackers have special databases containing them. To crack these passwords, you just need to check their compliance with ready-made templates.
A well-written password should contain various characters, it should be a combination of letters, numbers and special characters ("*", "?", "", Etc.). Password strength can also be improved by using lowercase and uppercase letters at the same time. Examples of good passwords are “oCM! Ui * p9h7 @@ 77Cd7 $ &” or “n% h3 ^ h! DM4kH6cy”. Using such passwords makes manual work with them less convenient, but their reliability is very high.
