Adding gadgets to the desktop of the Windows 7 operating system can be done by the user without the use of special computer skills and the use of third-party programs.

Step 1
Right-click anywhere on the desktop to open the context menu and select the "Gadgets" item.
Step 2
Open the "Desktop Gadgets Collection" and double-click on the shortcut of the selected gadget to add the gadget to the desktop.
Step 3
Return to the "Gadgets" menu and right-click on the icon of the gadget to be removed to open the service menu.
Step 4
Select the "Delete" command to apply the desired changes. This action will remove the selected application from the Desktop Gadgets Collection.
Step 5
Press the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the system and go to the "Control Panel" item to perform the operation of restoring a deleted gadget.

Set the view to "Category" and expand the link "Appearance and personalization".
Step 7
Select the "Restore Windows Installed Desktop Gadgets" line in the "Desktop Gadgets" section.

Reinstall the previously removed widget.
