Setting up an Acer laptop, like any computer, begins with the BIOS section. Before starting the installation of the operating system, you need to set the boot parameters, check the time in memory, check the definition of the main system devices and enable additional ones if they are disabled in the BIOS.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the BIOS area of the laptop by pressing F2 or Esc on your keyboard. If this button does not fit, carefully read the inscriptions on the screen immediately after the start - at the bottom of the screen it will certainly be indicated with which button to enter the BIOS. You can also read this information in the laptop manual, which is provided in the package with the device.
Step 2
Check the definition of the processor and RAM, set the main boot device to the drive, check the correct date and time on the computer. Save your changes using the appropriate item. If you already have an Internet connection, you can synchronize your laptop with special servers on the Internet, which will update your time and date with the exact parameters in real time.
Step 3
Boot the laptop from the optical disc with the operating system distribution kit. Which system to choose is a matter of the user, that is, you, but for a modern laptop it is optimal to choose a modern environment, since for the latest models, hardware drivers are no longer released, say, for Windows XP.
Step 4
Install the operating system from the disk. Follow the installation order, answer the computer's questions, set the necessary parameters. After the first boot of the system, check the status of the drivers in Device Manager. Activate the system if it requires activation. If you already have an operating system installed, then install the necessary software that allows you to fully work with a personal computer.
Step 5
Do not use unlicensed software. In addition to breaking the law yourself, you are putting your computer at risk. The Windows operating system already has enough vulnerabilities, and hacking system files makes the environment unstable and leads to errors.
