When changing power modes, the brightness of the laptop screen changes. If the monitor backlight is turned on at near maximum power when on AC power, battery life is conservative, so the brightness is lower.
Instructions
Step 1
Use a combination of the Fn key and the left and right arrow buttons to change the brightness of the backlight on your Acer notebook. Usually the up and down arrows when pressed together with Fn adjust the volume of the audio device, but some older models may have this combination to control the brightness settings. You can also look at this parameter on the Internet by entering the name of your model into a search engine or by looking at the instructions that come with each laptop.
Step 2
If you need to adjust not only the brightness of the backlight, but also the parameters of the image itself, open the properties of the desktop by right-clicking on it. A small window with settings for the appearance of the operating system will open, go to the "Options" tab.
Step 3
Click the Advanced button. A new window will appear in which you can configure various parameters related to the input and output devices of graphic information. Go to the tab of your video card, it is usually named according to your adapter model.
Step 4
Look for the "Graphics Specifications" button or any button that has similar functionality. Also, the Alt + Ctrl + F12 key combination is responsible for opening this window in some models.
Step 5
Navigate to the color setting menu item. Change the image brightness setting by moving the pointer left or right. Here you can adjust contrast and other items. Apply and save your changes.
Step 6
If you need to find the backlight switching on your computer when you change the power mode, open the power settings in personalization. Set a specific brightness setting according to each mode. If you don't want it to change, put the same values. Save your changes.
