Instructions

Step 1

Left-click on the clock in the lower right corner. In the "Time" section, change the current readings located under the image of the dial. To enter the window with the current time value, click with the mouse on the "Up" or "Down" arrows, then you can change these settings.

Step 2

To change the date, month and year, go to the "Date" section. Expand the list to select the name of the month. Change the current year by clicking the Up and Down arrows.

Step 3

To synchronize your watch with an Internet time server, go to the "Internet Time" tab. Check the box next to "Synchronize with an Internet Time Server" and click the "Update Now" button. If your computer is on a domain, you will see the message "Error completing synchronization … Host is not available."

Step 4

Without the set system time and date, the computer will not boot. After switching on, wait for a short POST beep. At the bottom of the screen, notice the message: Press Delete to Setup. A different key may be specified instead of Delete, depending on the manufacturer. Usually this is F2 or F10.

Step 5

Press the key to enter the BIOS setup menu (Basic In-Out System). Find a section that will be called Standart CMOS Setup or something similar. Set the current time and date to System Time and System Date. Pay attention to the date format: mm / dd / yyyy. This means that you must first enter the number of the month, then the day of the month, then the full year, for example: 10.15.2011 (October / 15/2011). Press F10 to save changes and exit Setup. Confirm the request by pressing Y.

Step 6

If the time and date in the computer keeps getting lost, most likely you need to replace the battery on the motherboard that powers the ROM microcircuit.
