Instructions

Step 1

Open Microsoft Paint to cut out the outline of your photo. This is a standard application of the Windows operating system, so it will certainly be on your personal computer. Go to the "Start" button menu, then "All Programs" and "Accessories". Find Paint in the list of programs.

Step 2

Click once with the left mouse button on the program icon. Load an image into it. To cut along the contour of the photo, select the standard Frame tool. It is depicted as a dotted rectangle.

Step 3

Select the area in the photo that you want to crop. Right-click, select "Cut" in the context menu, or simply press the key combination Ctrl + X.

Step 4

Open MS Photo Editor application. It is included in the MS Office package. As with Paint, you can only select a rectangular area. Load the photo, select the rectangular selection tool. Select the desired area in the picture, then right-click and select "Cut" or use the same keyboard shortcut Ctrl + X.

Step 5

Download and install Adobe Photoshop on your personal computer. It provides tons of tools for working with different types of images. Using the necessary tools, you will have access not only to a rectangular selection of the desired area, as in the previous two cases, but also to independently establish the selection border, as well as to automatically select along the contour of colors. To cut along a path, select the Lasso tool. It's in the toolbar on the left side of the screen. Select the type you need (as you already understood, there are 3 of them).

Step 6

Select the area of interest in the picture and press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + X. Using a linear or magnetic lasso, you can adjust the boundaries of the covered area as you select.
