It is very inconvenient when you work on several computers and all have different keyboard shortcuts for switching keyboard layouts and input languages. However, it shouldn't take long to set them up the same way.
Instructions
Step 1
To change switching keyboard layouts in Windows XP, go to "Start" - "Settings" - "Control Panel" - "Regional and Language Options". Select the "Languages" tab and click the "Details" button. Here you can choose which language will be installed by default when starting any program. In order to get into the same menu in Windows 7, you need to select "Change keyboard layout or other input methods" in the control panel, then the "Languages and keyboard" tab and click on the "Change keyboard" button.
Step 2
Now click "Keyboard Options", select the line "Switch between input languages" and click on the "Change keyboard shortcuts" button. Here you can set the switching of the input language and keyboard layout by choosing from the keyboard shortcuts alt="Image" - Shift and Ctrl - Shift. Select the required one and press OK.
Step 3
If you need the keyboard to switch to English with one keyboard shortcut, and to Russian with another, then configure the keyboard shortcut in the "Switch to English" and "Switch to Russian" lines. Then click OK.
Step 4
Also, you can use the popular Plunto Switcher program to switch keyboard layouts. If you accidentally typed Russian text in the English layout and vice versa, Plunto Switcher will automatically correct the written text by switching the layout. You can download it from the developer's website
Step 5
Run the installation file and follow the instructions. After installation and launch, an icon will appear in the tray showing the current layout. You can switch between Russian and English by simply clicking on it with the mouse. In addition, Plunto Switcher can change the case of the selected text, fix some typos and can do much more.
