Restoring the download of the ctfmon.exe file
Instructions
Step 1
The ctfmon.exe file is responsible for displaying the language bar, which by default should be in the startup menu. Its absence indicates boot problems that could have been caused by another crash. To restore this panel to work, you must try to restore it through the Regional and Language Options applet.
Step 2
For Windows 7. Click the Start menu and go to the Control Panel section. In the window that opens, select the item "Regional and Language Options". In the applet window, go to the Keyboards and Languages tab, then click the Change Keyboard button.

Go to the "Language bar" tab and check the box next to "Pinned to the taskbar". Click the Apply button and close the open windows.

Open the desktop and right-click on the "Computer" icon, select "Manage" from the context menu.

Open Task Scheduler, then select Task Scheduler Library. Open Microsoft, then Windows and highlight TextServicesFramework. In the right part of the window, find the "MsCtfMonitor" element, right-click on it and select the "Enable" line.

After that, restart your computer and check for the language bar.

For Windows XP operating system. Right-click on the taskbar, click on the item with the list of "Toolbars" and select the line "Language bar".

Then click the Start menu and go to Control Panel. In the window that opens, select the item "Regional and Language Options". In the applet window, go to the "Languages" tab and click the "Details" button.

In the new window, go to the "Advanced" tab and uncheck "Turn off additional text services". Return to the "Options" tab of the same window and click the "Language bar" item, then check the box next to the item "Display the language bar on the desktop".

If after that the panel you are looking for does not appear, therefore, the problem arose because of the ctfmon.exe file. To resolve this issue, click the Start menu and select Run. In the window that opens, enter the msconfig command in an empty field, then click the "OK" button.

In the system settings window, go to the "Startup" tab and check the box next to the ctfmon line. After restarting the computer, the language bar should be displayed.
