For example, if several people are working on the same computer, and they are not experienced users. Then it is better for the computer administrator to block the task manager. Step 1
The easiest way to disable Device Manager is to use special programs. Programs that allow you to fine-tune the operating system are called Tweaker. On their example, the process of disabling the device manager will be considered.
Step 2
You need to download Tweaker depending on the version of the operating system. If your OS is Windows XP, then in the search engine of your browser enter the query "XP Tweaker". Download the program and install it on your hard drive. Some versions of this utility do not require installation on a computer hard drive.
Step 3
Run the program. On the left side of its window there is a list of parameters. Select the "Protection" option. Now on the right side of the window, find the line "Prevent invoking the task manager". Next to this line, check the box, then click "Apply" at the bottom of the window. Sometimes a reboot may be required. Now the task manager will not start.
Step 4
To disable the Task Manager in the Windows 7 operating system, download the Windows 7 Tweaker utility from the Internet. For this operating system, there are often paid versions of the program. But even they have a trial period for its use. Install the program.
Step 5
Start Windows 7 Tweaker. On the left side of the program window there is a list of application features. In it, select "Other settings". After that, several sections will appear on the right side of the window. In the "System access options" find "Other restrictions", in the next window - "Restrictions applied to Ctrl + Alt + Del". In the list that opens, find the option "Remove button to run task manager on screen Ctrl + Alt + Del". Close the program window and restart your computer.
