The main purpose of the Windows component called Task Manager is to display lists of currently running applications, processes and services. These lists provide the ability to forcibly close applications and individual processes. It also has the ability to launch new applications. In addition, in the task manager, you can see the degree of processor load, computer operating time and control shutdown, reboot, etc.

Instructions

Step 1

Use the keyboard shortcut ctrl + alt="Image" + delete to launch the Task Manager. There are usually two buttons ctrl and alt="Image" on a standard keyboard - it doesn't matter which combination of these four keys you use. The same applies to the delete key - you can also use its duplicate, combined with the dot symbol on the additional (numeric) keyboard between the Enter and Zero keys. If this combination does not work for some reason, try the combination ctrl + shift + esc.

Step 2

Right-click the space on the taskbar that is free of open application icons (this is the strip along the bottom edge of the window that contains the Start button, clock, etc.). As a result, a context menu will appear, in which the "Task Manager" item will also be present - select it.

Step 3

Use the standard program launch dialog as an alternative way to invoke the task manager. To do this, open the main menu on the "Start" button and select the "Run" item in it. If in your version of the operating system this item is not there, then use the key combination win + r. In the dialog box, enter the taskmgr command and click on the "OK" button or press the Enter key - this will launch the task manager.

Step 4

After this OS component is open, you can minimize its window to the taskbar. In the notification area (in the "tray"), the icon of the computer processor load indicator will remain. In order to re-expand the dispatcher window, you can double-click on this indicator with the left mouse button, and right-click opens a context menu in which there is a command to close this OS component.
