The choice of OS largely determines the speed of the laptop, the ability to use it with maximum efficiency. And the preinstalled operating system will not always be the best for your computer.
When purchasing a laptop, you need to think not only about the characteristics of its hardware, the ability to perform the necessary actions, but also about the operating system that you (or an it-specialist) will install on your new gadget (or which will already be installed there by the manufacturer).
First, you must remember that there are no bad or good operating systems, there are those that are suitable for your purposes and those that are not suitable. The most common modern operating systems (Linux, Windows and Mac OS) have an intuitive interface and it is not difficult for the user to get used to any of them.
Secondly, you should not choose an OS based on the developer's advertising statements. Of course, in order to sell your product, everyone will say that it is beautiful and convenient, but the user must approach the purchase of each software product so as not to spend extra money, while receiving convenient and functional software. A typical example of the wrong approach is buying a laptop with pre-installed Windows and Mac OS, because for many tasks it is much easier to install free Linux, which is also considered a very stable system that is not susceptible to virus attacks.
So, before settling on a specific OS, take a sober look at your own needs. If you need a laptop for surfing the Internet, using an office suite, working with videos and photographs, and surfing the Internet for fun, Linux is the way to go. It will not run the usual "Windows" toys, but Linux has its own games that will be no less exciting and beautiful.
If you are an adversary of Linux just because you are trite used to Windows, I want to note that the modern Linux window interface is very similar to the OS you are used to, and many programs similar to those of Windows have been made for Linux. An additional plus - you do not have to pay tens of thousands of rubles for Windows or Mac OS and software packages for work and play.
Helpful hint: remember that, despite the fact that some craftsmen install Mac OS on any computers or laptops, it is prohibited by the manufacturer. Mac OS can only stand on a PC or laptop from Apple.
