The word "phablet" is not yet very familiar to our ears, although the devices themselves have been on the market for several years.

This name appeared from the addition of the words phone (phone) and tablet (tablet). That is, a phablet is a kind of large smartphone that looks like a medium-sized tablet, but it allows you to make calls via a SIM card and send SMS. Accordingly, you can also use the mobile Internet on the phablet, but this is not its fundamental difference from tablets.

Phablets most often include devices with a screen of about 6-7 inches. It is compact enough for any bag, even a small one for women, but at the same time it is convenient to use it for games, searching for information on the Internet, working with the simplest documents, programs, watching videos and listening to music.

Of course, not everyone is comfortable talking through such a large device, but this problem is solved using a headset, wired or wireless. But it is really not very convenient to operate such a large smartphone with one hand. But even here the manufacturers thought about the users - on smartphones of this kind it is possible to switch to one-handed (left or right) control mode, that is, all the control elements located on the screen move in such a way as if the screen is 4-5 inches.

Should you buy a phablet? It is necessary to answer this question depending on the needs of the user. In my opinion, the phablet is convenient precisely as a "three-in-one" device, because having such a gadget, you do not need to separately purchase and carry with you a phone, a tablet with the necessary information, programs and entertainment, a navigator. It makes life easier with its versatility, so it will undoubtedly be in demand in the future.

By the way, the vast majority of phablets run on the Android OS. Apple released its big smartphone just a year ago.
