If you often have to make voice calls using your computer, then using headphones combined with a microphone can greatly simplify your communication. After purchasing such headphones, many users have difficulty connecting them.
Instructions
Step 1
If you have ordinary wired headphones, then they can be connected either through ordinary audio jacks or through a USB adapter. In the first case, the headphone wire will end with two plugs, painted pink and green or marked with microphone and headphone icons. To connect them to your computer, insert the plugs into their respective connectors on your computer's sound card. On the system unit, the connectors can be located both on the front panel and on the rear side of the unit. The microphone jack is always edged in pink and the headphone jack is edged green.
Step 2
If the set includes a USB adapter, then the connection to the computer will be carried out through any free USB port. You need to connect the adapter to the computer, and connect the headphone plugs to the connectors located on its case. The operating system should automatically find the new device and get it ready for use. If the system cannot recognize the connected equipment, insert the disc that should be included with the headphones and install the necessary software that will be offered to you at the time the disc starts.
Step 3
If you have wireless headphones, then for their correct operation you will need to connect the signal transmitting module to the USB port of the module that comes with these headphones. You will most likely need to install the necessary drivers, which are located on the software disc. These discs always come with headphones. Insert the disc into your computer and follow the prompts of the Installation Wizard to install the required software.
