Computers today are capable of playing high quality and high definition video. The problem is that not all standard monitors produce the desired image quality. In such cases, it is customary to connect the computer to the TV.
It is necessary
- - HDMI-HDMI cable;
- - DVI-HDMI adapter;
- - Audio cable.
Instructions
Step 1
To connect the computer and the TV, you can use any available video card channel. If you want the best picture quality, use digital ports such as DVI and HDMI.
Step 2
In modern TVs, you rarely find a DVI-In port. If your computer's video card does not have an HDMI link, purchase a DVI to HDMI cable. You can also use a combination of HDMI to HDMI cable and DVI to HDMI adapter
Step 3
Turn on your TV and computer. Connect these devices using the cable of your choice. Open the TV settings menu. Find the item responsible for selecting the video transmission channel. Select the HDMI port that you connected to your computer's graphics card
Step 4
Proceed to configuring the parameters of the video card. In Windows Seven, to open the settings menu, right-click on the desktop and select "Screen Resolution".
Step 5
After opening the settings menu, press the "Find" button and wait while the system detects a new display. Now select the option for synchronous operation of two monitors. You can duplicate the image or expand the borders of the desktop. This is necessary if you do not plan to use your TV as your only display.
Step 6
To transmit sound to the TV, use a cable with a Mini Jack on one side and 2 “Tulip” connectors on the other. Connect this cable to your computer's sound card and to the TV's Audio In ports.
Step 7
If you are using an HDMI to HDMI connection, adjust the settings for your computer sound card. Select the HDMI port as the main audio transmission channel. This method is suitable for TV models that have a function for processing audio through the HDMI port.
