Instructions
Step 1
Get your own picture first if you haven't already. If the image you like was found on the Internet, you can easily download it to your computer. To do this, just right-click on the picture, and then select the "Save Image As" item in the menu that appears. Do not forget, however, that often the real scale of the picture opens after clicking the left mouse button on it. In the menu that appears after pressing the "Save Image As" command, you will be asked to determine where you will save the image file, as well as how it will be named. Confirm your intentions by clicking OK before saving. Now you have something to replace the old screensaver.
Step 2
Open the resulting image using a standard system program that is usually used to view images and faxes. It is called the "Image and Fax Viewer", by default it opens any file in JPEG format. If the file has a different graphic format, open the menu with the right mouse button, click "Open with" and find in the list the name of the program that supports the image format. Right-click on the picture in front of you and select the line "Set as desktop background" from the menu. After that, the picture will flaunt on your desktop. It is worth warning that if you move the image file from its original storage location, your desktop will lose the splash screen.
Step 3
Refer to the properties of the desktop when the picture is not displayed correctly. To do this, right-click on any point on the screen and find the "Properties" item. Among the tabs, stop at the "Desktop" section. There you can easily find display options. Select the "Stretch" option, then click on the "Apply" button. Exit the properties menu.
