In a text editor, for example, MS Word, any attempt to print text in Cyrillic ends in failure (instead of Russian characters, unknown characters appear). The easiest and most rational way is to copy the font files from your friend or friend who does not have this problem. All fonts are located in the C: WindowsFonts folder. But this method is not ideal for many reasons.

You can also use the method of restoring system files using the standard SFC utility. To start it, you need to click the "Start" menu, select "Run" and in the window that opens, enter the command "sfc.exe / scannow" without quotes. After clicking on the "OK" button, the system files will be checked and if the integrity of at least one of all scanned files is violated, you will be prompted to restore the damaged or missing files.

It should be noted that some files required for recovery may be located on the removable media from which the operating system was installed. If you want to run the utility for checking the integrity of system files at every boot of the operating system, run the "Run command" applet with the scanboot key instead of scannow. For a one-time system check at boot time, use the scanonce command instead of scanboot.
