For more convenient control of the gameplay, there are additional devices: various joysticks, additional keyboards, and so on. In order to improve the convenience in driving simulators, special steering wheels have been invented, similar to car ones. They also have pedals and a gearbox in the kit, but this already depends on the model of the device.
It is necessary
- - a computer;
- - steering wheel;
- - software for it.
Instructions
Step 1
Connect the steering wheel to a running computer using a USB cable. After that, connect the remaining additional devices to it, if any, provided by the package. Wait for the device to be detected on your computer. If it works properly, you may not need to install the driver, however, it is best to do this, since some files may be needed to control the games.
Step 2
Proceed to install the software on your computer. Insert the supplied CD-ROM with drivers into your computer's drive, and then complete the installation from autorun. If it is disabled in your system, install the device using the Add New Hardware Wizard in the control panel of your computer. Run it and select the list of connected devices, then mark the one you want and click "Next".
Step 3
Start the installation from the specified location by selecting your disk with the driver through the “Browse” menu, wait until the installation is complete and, if necessary, restart your computer. If you do not have a device driver, connect to the Internet so that the Add Hardware Wizard could download and install them yourself.
Step 4
Start the game and go to its menu in the setting of control options. Specify the steering wheel as the main unit, then configure the system parts. Also note that most games may not have a dedicated setup menu for such devices, here you will have to specify the parameters intuitively. Also, control settings can be accessed from one of the configuration files in the program folder.
Step 5
If you use special joysticks for games, also make the settings in the game menu. If you encounter problems with these devices, open the Options (Settings) in the control panel and check their operation.
