A video card is a device that displays the output of a computer on a monitor, be it a video, spreadsheet, or text file. The video card can be integrated into the motherboard or external. In the first case, it uses part of the PC's RAM, and in the second, it uses its own memory.

Step 1
As a rule, modern external video cards have better characteristics than integrated ones. Therefore, users buy a discrete video adapter, insert it into an AGP or PCI-E slot and forget about the existence of an integrated device. However, it may become necessary to switch to the built-in video card - for example, if the external one is out of order. Disconnect the computer from the power supply, disconnect the interface cable that goes to the monitor from the video connector. Remove the side panel and remove the video adapter from the slot. Connect the cable to the connector on the integrated video card.
Step 2
Turn on the system unit. After the computer boots up and a short POST beep, a “Press Delete to Setup” message will appear at the bottom of the screen to prompt you to enter BIOS (Basic In-Out System) settings. Instead of Delete, another key may be specified, most likely F2 or F10, depending on the manufacturer. Go to Setup and find the menu item that defines the settings for integrated devices. Perhaps it will be called Peripheral Setup or Integrated Devices.
Step 3
Select Init. Graphics Adapter Priority from the list - the order of loading graphics devices. This option may be called, depending on the BIOS version, VGA Boot From, Primary VGA BIOS, or INIT Display First. Install the integrated AGP / Int to VGA video adapter as the first device to boot. Press F10 to save configuration and exit BIOS. Confirm the decision by pressing Y.
Step 4
For any device to work correctly, you need to install the appropriate driver on it, which is usually supplied with the equipment. If you did not find a disk or diskette with a driver for the integrated video card, go to the motherboard manufacturer's website and download the drivers from there.
