Step 1
Check the appearance and equipment. Ask to unpack the laptop in your presence. All components must be in separate packages, the integrity of which must not be compromised. This is a sign that the laptop has not been used before, at least as a showcase. This is a very important point, because it is highly undesirable to buy a laptop from a storefront.
Step 2
Bring with you to the store a flash card or disk containing a movie or clips of "heavy" HD or FullHD format and a video player. Play these videos and experience the playback quality. So you not only check the matrix of the laptop, but you can also roughly estimate the characteristics of the "hardware", because weak computers can hardly handle these formats.
Step 3
Check battery health. Plug it in and turn on the laptop without the mains charger.

Check all USB ports. To do this, insert a mouse or flash card into each of them. If you have time, it is better to check the video channels. Laptops have VGA and HDMI outputs. Connect the laptop to the monitor using both channels.

Check your webcam. To do this, run the standard program, or install another one of your choice. Skype can be used. Take a picture with a webcam. It should not be blurry or indistinct.
