The first method to remove DirectX is suitable for owners of computers with Windows XP operating system. We will talk about removing the so-called DirectX 10 or 11. And if you downloaded and installed such DirectX on Windows XP and noticed that the games began to malfunction or not start at all, then you need to remove it.
Step 2
Such DirectX is installed as a regular program. Accordingly, it can also be deleted. Click "Start", then select "All Programs". Find DirectX and select Uninstall. If there is no uninstaller in the programs, then another method will suit you. Open Control Panel and select Add or Remove Programs. Find DirectX there and uninstall it.

Using the following method, you can completely remove DirectX, regardless of version and operating system. Download the special DirectX Eradicator uninstaller from the Internet. It does not require installation, it is downloaded in the archive. Unpack the archive and open the dxerad. After that, a warning appears that the removal of the component may lead to unstable operation of the operating system. In the warning box, click Yes. DirectX will be removed.

Another program you can use to uninstall DirectX is called DirectX Happy Uninstall. Find it on the internet and download it. This program requires installation. Install it and run it. Select the Uninstall component from the main menu. Then, in the right window, also click on the Uninstall line. Wait for the process to complete. Agree to restart your computer. After restarting, DirectX will be completely removed from the hard drive.
