Modern browsers save various elements of the web pages visited by the user so as not to download them again, and at the same time record information about these pages in the history of visits. This chronicle has different names in different Internet browsers - in Mozilla Firefox it is simply "Journal". This browser, like all competing programs, provides several ways to clear your browsing history.

Step 1
Use the clear log command from the browser menu. To do this, first click on the orange button labeled Firefox in the upper left corner of the application window. In the right column of the drop-down menu, open the "History" section and select the "Erase recent history" line.

If you prefer keyboard shortcuts to manipulating the mouse, replace the actions of the previous step by pressing the "hot keys" Ctrl + Shift + Delete. This keyboard shortcut duplicates the "Erase Recent History" command from the browser menu, so the result will be exactly the same.
Step 3
To delete not all records, but only those related to a certain period of time or a certain site, use the context menu of the visit log. To access the complete list of visited pages in the "History" section of the browser menu, select "Show entire history". The same can be done by pressing the key combination Ctrl + Shift + H.
Step 4
In the left column of the window that opens, select the line related to the required period, and in the right frame you will see a list of sites visited at that time. Select the line you want to delete and press the Delete button, or right-click the entry and select "Delete this page" from the context menu. To delete multiple lines of the log at the same time, flip them all while holding down the Ctrl key, and then use the button or item in the menu. To select consecutive records, you can click on the first of them, and then press the Shift key and click on the last.

In the context menu of the visit log there is an item that allows you to delete records that refer to a specific site. To use it, find at least one line with a link to the page of this web resource, right-click on it and select “Forget about this site” in the pop-up menu. The browser itself will find and remove all traces of visits to the desired site.
