The activation of the license server is required to obtain a digital certificate from Microsoft, which serves as a confirmation of the identity of the owner, in order to extend the ability of terminal connections after the trial of 120 days.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the main menu of the system by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "Administrative Tools" item to perform the operation of automatic activation of the license server.
Step 2
Select Terminal Server Licensing and expand the All Servers link in the console directory.
Step 3
Call the context menu of the server to be activated by clicking the right mouse button and select the "Activate Server" command to launch the "Terminal Server License Server Activation Wizard" tool.
Step 4
Confirm your choice by clicking the "Next" button and select "Automatic connection (recommended), in the" Activation method "section of the" Connection method "dialog box that opens.
Step 5
Confirm the execution of the command by clicking the "Next" button and enter the required personal data and information about the company in the corresponding fields of the new dialog box "Company Information".

Click Next and follow the next steps in the Activation Wizard to install key CAL packs.
Step 7
Complete the wizard and close all open program windows.
Step 8
Return to the main Start menu and go to Administrative Tools to perform an alternative operation to activate the license server using Internet Explorer.

Select Terminal Server Licensing and expand the All Servers link in the console directory.

Call the context menu of the server to be activated by clicking the right mouse button and select the "Activate Server" command to launch the "Terminal Server License Server Activation Wizard" tool.

Confirm your choice by clicking the "Next" button and select the "Web browser" item in the "Activation method" section.
Step 12
Specify the hyperlink for the connection and the Internet site for activation and licensing in the "License Server Activation" dialog box that opens and use the "Activate License Server" option in the "Select Option" group.
Step 13
Press the Next button to confirm the command execution and enter the received product code and company information in the corresponding fields of the dialog box.
Step 14
Confirm your choice by clicking Next to obtain the license server code and enter the received code in the License Server Activation dialog box.
Step 15
Click Next and follow the next steps in the Activation Wizard to install key CAL packs.
Step 16
Complete the wizard and close all open program windows.
