Step 1
One of the easiest ways to find out about your graphics card model is as follows. Right-click on an empty area of the desktop. If your operating system is Windows 7, then in the menu that appears, select "Screen Enlargement". In the case of Windows XP, select Properties, then Advanced Options. Go to the "Adapter" tab. A window will open with information about the video card model.

You can also view information about the video card using the device manager. To do this, click "Start". Then select "All Programs". Select Accessories from the list of programs. There is a "Command Line". Run it, then enter Mmc devmgmt.msc at the command line. Press the Enter key. After a second, the "Device Manager" will open.

Look for the line "Display adapters" in Device Manager. There will be an arrow next to it. Click on this arrow with the left mouse button. The model name of your graphics card will appear. If you need to know more, right-click on the board model name. A context menu will pop up. From this menu, select Properties. A window will appear in which you can view some additional parameters of the video card.

You can also use the Direct X Diagnostic Tool to obtain information about your graphics adapter model. Run a Command Prompt. In it, enter the dxdiag command and press Enter. After a second, the Direct X Diagnostic Tool will run.

After starting this service, go to the "Display" tab. In the window that appears, find the "Device" section. This section contains information about your video card. Also in this window there is a section "Driver". In it you can see the version of the driver your board is running on.
