It is necessary

  • 1) New processor
  • 2) Heat transfer paste
  • 3) Phillips screwdriver

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, disconnect all wires from the system unit. Lay it flat and remove the cover from the computer. You will see a heatsink with a cooler under the power supply. First, remove it. To do this, disconnect the chip with which it clings to the motherboard to get power. Then use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the screws that secure the cooler to the radiator, remove it.

Step 2

We proceed to remove the radiator. To do this, you will need to disconnect it from the socket. It is fastened with special latches. Disconnecting the lower latch first, proceed to the upper one. Some heatsinks are attached to the motherboard with screws. Then just unscrew them. Be careful, there is a special holder on the other side of the board, into which screws are screwed. By placing the system unit in an upright position, you can knock it down. After the radiator is unscrewed, remove it.

Step 3

We take out the old processor. We remove the heat-conducting paste from the radiator. Now we lubricate the heatsink and the upper part of the processor, which is joined to the surface of the heatsink, with an even thin layer. You do not need a lot of paste, otherwise the computer may have a crash when you turn on the processor.

Step 4

We put a new processor, and put a radiator on it. We snap on the radiator or tighten it with screws. We fasten the fan and connect the power supply. We put the cover of the system unit and connect the wires. We turn on the computer.
