To organize your data or install an additional operating system, you can create an additional partition on your hard disk. Let's see how you can do this using the Acronis Disk Director program.
Instructions
Step 1
Download the program on the official website in the "Home and Home Office" section. Acronis Disk Director will be downloaded to your computer as a file that should be installed on your computer as a normal application.
Step 2
Run the program after installation and click on the partition, the free space of which will be used to create a new logical disk. From the menu on the left, select the Split Volume command.
Step 3
Enter the desired size for the new partition in the New Volume Size field. The Initial Volume Size field will be filled in automatically.
Step 4
Click the "OK" button to return to the main program window. At the top of the window, you will see an "Apply Pending Operations" button. Click it to restart your computer and allow the program to create a new partition.
Step 5
During the reboot, the program will create a hard disk partition with the dimensions you specified, and after the system is fully loaded, you can use it.
