Instructions
Step 1
Download and install the Compass-3D program on your personal computer. The demo version will be enough for you, especially since it is free. Run the program. A window will appear on your monitor screen. Select File from the toolbar. Then proceed depending on your wishes.
Step 2
If you need to learn how to draw a flat drawing in Compass-3D, select Create Drawing. After that, a drawing sheet with guiding coordinate axes will appear on the screen. In order to draw, you need basic tools. Typically, they are located on the panel at the left edge of the screen. If this panel is not displayed, add it via the View tab in the toolbar.
Step 3
Try working with each of the basic drawing tools. These include: endless line, simple geometric shapes, line segment, bezier curve, selection, hatching, dimensioning. You can draw, both "by eye" and by setting specific dimensions and coordinates in the appropriate cells on the panel located at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4
When creating a drawing in "Compass-3D", you can save a lot of time due to the ability to copy and mirror the finished fragment. This makes life much easier when creating drawings with symmetrical elements.
Step 5
Download and install the Compass-3D program if you need to create volumetric drawings. On the toolbar, select the File tab, then New Part. In the working area of the program, select the plane in which you will create the fragment. The principle of creating a volumetric model differs from a flat drawing only in that after the completion of the formation of a flat fragment, the volumetric model is created by stretching, cutting and changing its individual parts in the corresponding planes.
